Wooden steps mount serpentine staircase
Bipolar directions; pondered; elusive dilemma
Antiquated oak; trodden creaky stair
Obscured; spindle hinders; fragmented aspect

Waldereinsamkeit
Within this archaic, enchanted celestial wood
only colonies of barked effigies watch on.
I meander down leaf laden, tawny tracks;
beaneath trees that tower like reverently ordained steeples.
Here......I feel protected from what it is that torments my soul
The woods, they emanate an elixir of moistened air;
tenderly quenching my dry hope and cleansing my mind of woes.
The light, sparse and dappled, ignites the hues, evoking wonder;
casting magic everywhere and returns me to the child I was
The Waldereinsamkeit comforts and soothes me;
as my thoughts and memories can sometimes be company enough!
